The formerTodayshow anchor began his relationship with Abas shortly after he and his ex-wifeAnnette Roquefinalized their divorce that same year.

In January 2023, the duo was seen enjoying a romantic date night in New York City’s Upper East Side, strolling the city hand in hand. Three years prior,they were photographed on vacation in New Zealand, marking one of the first times the duo was publicly pictured out as a couple.
“They try and stay out of the spotlight but are happy together and not interested in a high-profile life,” the source continued. “They are off the radar and low-key. They are enjoying their lives.”
A few months before the New Zealand getaway, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE in September 2019 that Lauer had finalized his divorce from Roque after more than 20 years of marriage. The divorce became official nearly two years after the couple separated followingLauer’s termination from NBCforalleged sexual misconduct.

Per her personal website, the Welsh-born publicist and businesswoman has worked in marketing and events around New York, including the Hamptons, and in Palm Beach, Fla. She often works with high-end luxury clients and travels around the world for her job.
Like Lauer, she lives in New York. In November 2021, a source told PEOPLE that the two spend time together between her work travels. “She is a dedicated businesswomanwho loves to work. She is independent and has made a nice life for herself,” the source said at the time.
She was friends with Lauer for 20 years before they dated
