The “I Like It” singer opened up about being acknowledged in an Instagram video she posted after the nominations were announced: “I remember when all I ever wanted to do was chart on the Hot 100 Charts. I was like, if I chart, I’m official.”

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper has enjoyed a landmark year. She recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the release of her debut album,Invasion of Privacy, which was recently certified as 3-times platinum; she and Offsetwelcomed their daughter, Kulture Kiari, last July; she confirmed in January that she is planning on releasing another album sometime in 2019; and in February, she took home thebest rap album trophyat theGrammy Awards.
