Meghan Markle’s latest fashion statement might have a sweet connection to her sonPrince Archie.
On Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex, 42,sparkled on stageat “The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in the Digital Age” in New York City in an emerald necklace. Meghan accessorized with Logan Hollowell’s goldQueen Emerald Cut Emerald Cuban Chokerwith Sarah Hendler’sPave Spear Tip Dangle Studs, plus a diamond pinky ring and herwedding band. Meghan wore an Altuzarra off-the-shoulder ivory blazer, matching pant andPurist Pump 105heels.
While the earrings appeared to feature London Blue Topaz gemstones, the necklace might have been a subtle tribute to her 4-year-old son. Emeralds are the birthstone for Prince Archie’s May birth month, and the Duchess of Sussex has sported the gem before. In October 2022, theArchetypeshost wore anemerald pendantfrom Logan Hollowellwhile shoppingin Montecito.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up aboutraising kidsin today’s digital age during the third and final panel of The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in the Digital Age on Tuesday. The summit was Meghan and Harry’s second stop of their trip to New York City for World Mental Health Day, following amorning visitto The Marcy Lab School in Brooklyn, and doubled as the first in-person event from their Archewell Foundation.

The summit took place as part of Project Healthy Minds’ second annual World Mental Health Day Festival, and featured parents who have experienced tragic loss connected to their child’s social media use. Meghan and Harry have been working with the parents involved in the event behind the scenes, PEOPLE has learned.
Meghan said, “A year ago we met some of the families, and at the time, it was impossible not to be in tears hearing their stories because it’s just that devastating.

Meghan and Harry spoke about the urgency of changing social media to make the online world a better place, and received a standing ovation when their panel came to a close. They shared hugs with Daly and the Surgeon General before quietly exiting the stage.
Uplifting communities, building a better online world and restoring trust in information are the key pillars of the Archewell Foundation, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched in 2020. The Archewell Foundation operates with the core belief that mental health and collective wellbeing is paramount and approaches all philanthropic work through this lens.
Earlier in the day,Meghan and Harry visited a Brooklyn-based schoolthat prepares young adults from underestimated backgrounds for careers in the tech field. The outing highlighted the couple’s ongoing work to help create a safer online world.
