According toVariety, LuckyChap has signed a multi-year, feature film deal with Warner Bros. to work together on future projects following the success ofBarbie, which the production company produced.

Filmmaker Greta Gerwig was also notably left off the five-nominee Best Director list, which is something Robbie has said shedisagrees with.
“Obviously I think Greta should be nominated as a director because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is,” theSuicide Squadstar said according toDeadlineduring a special Screen Actors Guild screening of Barbie in Los Angeles last month.
“But it’s been an incredible year for all the films,” Robbie added.

“I just suspect it’s bigger than us. It’s bigger than this movie, it’s bigger than our industry," she went on to say ofBarbie’s impact on popular culture.
She also applauded the film for receiving eightOscarnominations, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as nods for Gosling, 43, andAmerica Ferrerain the Best Supporting Actress category.
“We set out to do something that would shift culture, affect culture, just make some sort of impact,” she said, perDeadline. “And it’s already done that,and some, way more than we ever dreamed it would. And that is truly the biggest reward that could come out of all of this."
