Luke Perry‘s sonJackis mourning the death of his father.

One day after theRiverdaleandBeverly Hills, 90210actordied from a “massive stroke” at age 52, Bar Wrestling announced that Jack, who wrestles professionally under the moniker “Jungle Boy,” had pulled out of their upcoming show.

“Unfortunately Jungle Boy will no longer be wrestling at our March 13th show. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time,” the wrestling organizationwrote in a tweeton Tuesday.

Jack, 21, whose in-the-ring persona is a Tarzan-esque character, complete with his mane of long curls and loin cloth-like shorts, has yet to publicly comment on the death of his father.

Luke was hospitalized after suffering a stroke on Feb. 27. A source tells PEOPLE henever regained consciousness. The actor remained “under observation” for five days but died on Monday, March 4.

“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”

The 5’ 10,” 150-pound athlete began pursuing professional wrestling as a senior in high school and was careful not to let his father’s fame overshadow his own success,according toSports Illustrated.

“My family is a part of who I am, but I’m trying to make my own way. I don’t want to use (my father’s fame) to be successful, I want to have my own success,” he said.

The actor’s friend and90210costar Shannen Doherty exclusively toldPEOPLEthat Luke was a proud pop who frequently bragged about his children’s achievements.

“Luke loved his family. He raved about his kids and how proud he was of them,” she said. “He showed me videos of them often. They were his heart and for him, his biggest accomplishment.”

On Tuesday, Sophiebroke her silence regarding her father’s deathin an emotional post on Instagram.

“A lot has happened in this past week for me,” she captioned her post. “Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support.”

“I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I,” she continued. “I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye. So [bear] with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly.”

In lieu of flowers, the Perry family asks that donations be made toFight Colorectal CancerandSt. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
