The actor posted a tribute tohis Instagram Storyhonoring hisHawkeyecostar as she turned 27, re-sharing a stunning professional shot of Steinfeld alongside a heartfelt caption.
“Happy birthday to the sweetest friend I know,” wrote Renner, 52, tagging Steinfeld.
“Twenty seven 🩷,” Steinfeld captioned her post.

Renner’s sweet tribute to his costar comes almost a year afterhis snowplow accidenton New Year’s Day 2023, after which Steinfeldwished him a speedy recovery.
“Come on partner!!! Thank God you’re healing. We are sending you love and prayers for a speedy recovery,” she wrote on Instagram.
He has since made impressive physical progress. In November, in honor of “10 months of recovery,” he showed off a variety ofoutdoor exercises.
In April, Steinfeld toldEntertainment Tonightthat shegets “emotional” when discussing Renner’s recoveryfrom his devastating accident.
“I’m so grateful that he’s okay, and he has made a truly miraculous recovery,” said theSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Versevoice actress. “I just couldn’t be more grateful that he’s okay, and he’s more than okay. He’s such a fighter.”
In July 2021, Renner toldEntertainment Weeklyaboutmentoring Steinfeld on the setofHawkeye,“That was always my role. Outside of acting in the thing, I was protecting her and giving her the CliffsNotes on how it goes with this kind of filmmaking: Green screen, superhero life, all that stuff.”
“I just wanted to protect her, because there’s a lot of physical stuff,” added theAvengers: Endgamestar. “She’s a wonderful actress, a wonderful human, and I can’t wait to see all the cool stuff that she’s able to do.”
