It ’s no closed book that Disney was very interested in corrupt Twitter back in 2016 , but the House of Mouse never function through with the deal . Disney CEO Bob Iger has explained the caller ’s think about Twitter in his new book , The Ride of a Lifetime , and he really speak for all of its regular substance abuser .
Why did n’t Walt Disney scoop up Twitter ? The platform is a sump of anger that ’s helping to make the macrocosm a worse place to live with its “ nastiness . ”
From theNew York Times(emphasis ours ):

“ The problem were expectant than I wanted to take on , greater than I think it was responsible for us to take on , ” he tells me . “ There were Disney brand issues , the whole impact of technology on company . The foulness is over-the-top . I like looking at my Twitter newsfeed because I desire to surveil 15 , 20 unlike subjects . Then you ferment and look at your presentment and you ’re immediately saying , why am I doing this ? Why do I endure this pain ? Like a lot of these platforms , they have the power to do a lot of trade good in our world . They also have an power to do a deal of bad . I did n’t need to take that on . ”
I honestly ca n’t think of a practiced tagline for Twitter than “ why am I doing this ? Why do I endure this pain ? . ” Any regular user can relate to the question . It ’s the same as rust a especially oleaginous pizza pie or something . We tell ourselves that it ’s go to be so good and it just leaves us feeling like darn .
Why are we doing this ? Why do we endure this hurting ? Because we ’re addicted . And there ’s nothing we can do about it . The folk at Disney were smart enough to obviate bundle into thoseNazi - infestedwaters .
