Cowboy Bebop‘s Musicians Jam Out in a New Behind-the-Scenes Video

If Yoko Kannodidn’t return to write the musicfor Netflix ’s fresh live - action adjustment ofCowboy Bebop , there really would n’t havebeen a reason to do it . Her jazz - infuse sexual conquest practically defines Cowboy Bebop as much asSpike , Faye , Jet Black , and Eincombined . Thankfully , she is back for this version , which debuts later this week , and a new video tells us all about it .

In the TV , we see Kanno discussing her approaching to returning to the earth of Bebop , how she did thing otherwise this prison term around , and we get to see and listen her produce some of what she call a “ corking potluck company . ” In a Netflix press discharge , euphony executive program and soundtrack record album producer Thomas Golubić said , “ This soundtrack stand for Yoko Kanno ’s vision and her queer thaumaturgy . It ’s Seatbelts , a jazz band in top anatomy , playing their warmheartedness out under the guidance of a maestro . ” So , hey—3 , 2 , 1 , let ’s jam out and check out the video .

There are some really cool little tidbits in that , in summation to the pure joy of seeing Kanno conducting musicians , most of whom are wearing shirts with the name of one of their songs on them ( of course it ’s “ Tank ” ) . One interesting note is that she ’s only reusing about one - ten percent ofthe music she earlier made for the anime . Also , she does n’t give any of the character their own themes , instead choose to write medicine based on situation and emotion . It ’s a capital snip that gives you really , really high anticipation for the show ( unluckily , while our own Charles Pulliam - Moore admired the soundtrack in his review , the rest of the show did n’t fare so well ) .
