Cara Delevingneis leaving X for good.

The 31-year-old model was “furious” with the social media company, formerly known as Twitter, after it seemingly failed to resolve her hacked account in a timely manner.

Before officially exiting the app, Delevingne uploaded two posts explaining that scammers tried to sell products under her name. According toJust Jared, the hackers also promised that the funds were being donated to charity.

“I washacked a week agoand it took so long to be able to get back into my account!,” she wrote in one, adding in another, “I am so angry at twitteror whatever the f—k it’s called now for taking so long to get my account back!! So many people got scammed and I am furious. I am going to delete my account so this never happens again.”

She assured her 9 million X followers that she’ll still be active on TikTok, Instagram and its sub-app Threads and “sincerely” apologized for the mishap.

Before the conundrum, Delevingne had used X as a vessel for her truth and at times used her account to open up about her mental health.

In March 2016, following an essay she wrote forTIME’sMotto, in which she opened up about how the industry took a toll on her, she wrote that she faced depression while modeling “during aparticularly rough patchof self hatred.”

“I am so lucky for the work I get to do but I used to work to try and escape and just ended up completely exhausting myself,” she wrote in afollow-up tweet, continuing in another, “I am focusing on filming and trying to learn how to not pick apart my every flaw. I am really good at that.”

Delevingne is still on ajourney towards self-acceptanceand love.

“Things that have really helped me are learning to love myself through other people and learning to really be myself with other people, because I think my whole thing was always trying to be perfect, even though I definitely wasn’t perfect. In my head, I just wanted to be better than what I was,” she shared.
