Beyoncéis joining the rest of the music community in mourning late rapperNipsey Hussle, who wasshot multiple times and killed on Sundayat the age of 33.
The “Halo” singer shared a touching tribute to Hussle (né Ermias Joseph Asghedom) on Instagram, Monday, writing her message in the caption of a childhood photo of the late star.
“I’m praying with every ounce of my heart for your family,' Beyoncé, 37, wrote. “Rest In Peace, Nipsey.”
Her message came after stars likeDrake,Rihanna,John Legend,Justin Bieber,Ed Sheeran,Snoop Dogg,Wiz Kalifa,Sean “Diddy” Combs, The Game, 21 Savage,Chance the Rapper, Meek Mill,Pharrell Williams, 50 Cent, Ludacris,Tyga, Keri Hilson,Idris Elba,LeBron James,Jada Pinkett Smithand more had sharedtheir own messages of grief and condolences on social media.
Hussle was on the street outside of his clothing store, the Marathon Clothing Company, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles around 3:20 p.m. local time when he was shot alongside two other people (who are currently in stable condition), a public information officer with the Los Angeles Police Department previously told PEOPLE.
After he was shot, paramedics rushed Hussle to the hospital where he was pronounced dead around 3:55 p.m. local time, the coroner said.
The South Bureau Homicide team is still investigating the incident. No arrests have been made over the shooting at this time, but the policeasked the public’s help in tracking down a suspect— Eric Holder, 29 — on Monday.

Over the years, Hussle has dropped several mixtapes and worked withJAY-Z.Victory Lap, which was both his debut album and his last album to be released during his lifetime, was nominated for best rap album at theGrammy Awardsin February.
“More than a lot of the things that we considered a success,” he continued. “I know in my heart that it’s a higher power and a higher value to what we can do. The times we do it right and it connects and it has that effect on people; that’s really, really fulfilling.”
Just hours before the shooting, Hussletweeted, “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”
