An astronaut popping up like a curious mierkat from within his International Space Station nest is my new favourite picture . A close runner - up is the milklike Way spilling into the sky over yellow Sahara sands .

The runner up for my late favorite picture from the space station was snapped by Reid Wiseman in the day chair up to his spacewalk . He caption it , “ The whitish Way steals the show from Sahara sands that make the Earth glow orange . ”
