This episode seamlessly brought together our two enceinte Bads of the time of year , the amoral AI Samaritan and the crime genius Dominic . And holy cocksucker were there some awesome shootouts . But I was left wonder something about the nature of chaos and order .
So first of all , we ’re now live in a world where Shaw ’s cover has been blown . Samaritan still ca n’t pick out her , but Greer ’s best agent Rousseau has tracked Shaw down anyway — result in a cheering political machine artillery battle in the heart of the cosmetic department . Root had to rescue Shaw , and there was much flirty ninja bonding . So now Shaw has to rest off the street , and Greer has given Rousseau a furtherance to squad leader .
But that was just the backstory to my inquiry . Because the real fight in this episode was n’t between the Machine and Samaritan , but between the crime bosses Elias and Dominic . We get some good backstory on Elias ’ childhood at an opprobrious boys ’ home , and discover that one of his major protectors is a louche business concern brilliance who bring off all Elias ’ money and is possibly a kind of “ mastermind behind the scenes ” Finch figure .
This is all stuff that Dominic do it now too , since he ’s been spying on Elias and has stolen all the NYPD ’s files on the guy .
When Dominic ’s gang finally corners Elias , Reese and Elias ’ phone number one ( and estimable friend ) in Elias ’ arcanum hideout , it looks like things are going to get seriously deadly . Everybody is endeavor to give themselves for everybody else , and Finch call Elias up to tattle him out of throw up his lifespan for his friend . “ Your presence in this city has brought lodge to the pandemonium , ” Finch says , then goes on to say that Dominic will demolish all that if he wins .
So wait , hold off , wait . Why is Dominic a military unit of chaos and immorality , again ? Is n’t he the impudent , cool , Edward Snowden - cite criminal offence boss who united a bunch of gangs who had fall into petty turf war in Elias ’ absence ? Is n’t he the guy wire who translate the ability of data and connections , rather than money ? OK , for sure , he was trying to import some seriously foul armor - piercing hit man into New York . But Elias has done equally horrible things . What make Dominic so much bad than Elias ?
